These terms cover your use of beabutter.com. Retail orders are placed and handled through our Shopify store, and wholesale orders through Faire, so those purchases are also governed by the terms and policies shown at checkout. We sell and ship only within the United States.
About these terms
This website, beabutter.com (the "Site"), is operated by beabutter ("beabutter," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Purchases through Shopify
The Site shares information about beabutter. Retail purchases are made in our online store, which is hosted by Shopify. When you shop, you will be taken to that store to view products, place orders, pay, and manage your account.
Orders, pricing, payment, taxes, shipping, returns, and refunds are handled through our Shopify store and are governed by the policies posted there, including our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy. Payment information is entered on Shopify's secure checkout and is never collected or stored by this Site.
Prices and availability may change without notice. We may limit quantities or decline or cancel any order, for example when a product is out of stock or a price was listed in error. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund you.
Wholesale through Faire
Retailers who would like to carry beabutter can open a wholesale account and place orders through Faire at beabutter.faire.com. Wholesale minimums, pricing, payment terms, and shipping for wholesale orders are set out on Faire and are governed by Faire's terms and policies.
United States only
We sell and ship products only to addresses within the United States. We do not accept orders for delivery outside the United States. The Site is intended for visitors in the United States, and we make no claim that its content is appropriate or available elsewhere.
Product information and use
beabutter is a cosmetic skin-care product. It is not a drug and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nothing on the Site, including our Skin Guide, Journal articles, and personal stories, is medical advice, and none of it replaces care from a qualified healthcare provider.
Experiences shared on the Site are personal, and results vary from person to person. Please review the full ingredient list before use, patch-test on a small area first, and stop using the product if irritation occurs. Do not apply it to open wounds or broken skin. If you are pregnant, nursing, being treated for a skin condition, or have known allergies, talk with your healthcare provider before use.
Store beabutter as described on the product page and in our FAQs. Because it contains no emulsifiers or preservatives, its texture can change with temperature. Ideally, use it within 3 to 6 months of opening.
Our content
The Site and everything on it, including text, photographs, artwork, logos, and the beabutter name, belongs to beabutter or is used with permission, and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share Site pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, or reuse our content, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
Acceptable use
Please do not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, or use automated tools to copy its content.
Links to other websites
The Site links to services we do not operate, including Shopify and Faire. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimers
We work to keep the Site accurate and up to date, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, beabutter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the product at issue. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
