What is beabutter?
beabutter is a small-batch botanical skin butter. It is made with a proprietary blend of plant oils and butters and gives rich, calming moisture to dry, stressed skin. It is a daily comfort ritual, not a medication.
Who makes beabutter?
beabutter was created by our founder for her late husband Ricardo (Ric), a firefighter who was severely burned in a 2002 structure fire. Nothing eased his dry, scarred skin, so she made a rich, nourishing cream for him at home. Ric lived another twenty years, became beabutter's co-founder and most trusted product tester, and his legacy lives on in every jar.
What is beabutter made of?
beabutter is made with a proprietary botanical blend: a signature plant-oil complex made in small batches. The full ingredient list is printed on every jar and listed on the product page in our shop. Always check the list if you have sensitivities.
How do I use beabutter?
With clean, dry hands, scoop out a pea-sized amount and warm it between your fingertips until it softens. Then press and smooth it into clean, slightly damp skin. Use more on very dry areas like hands, elbows, knees, and heels. Close the lid tightly when you are done. Use it morning and night, or anytime your skin needs comfort.
How should I store beabutter?
Keep beabutter at cool room temperature and out of direct sunlight. A drawer, cabinet, or shelf away from windows, heaters, and stoves works well. beabutter has no emulsifiers or preservatives, so heat can soften or melt it and cold can make it firm. Close the lid tightly after every use.
How long does beabutter last once I open it?
For the best experience, use beabutter within 3 to 6 months of opening the jar. Because it has no preservatives, it is at its freshest in those first months. It can help to write the date you opened it on the bottom of the jar. Storing it cool, using clean hands, and closing the lid tightly all help it stay fresh. If the smell, color, or texture ever seems off, stop using it.
